It's finally February! A month of 2022 has come and gone and we have entered the month of love. Valentine's day is around the corner - dreaded by many who are single and celebrated by those who are in loving relationships.
Whatever your relationship status, whether your heart is taken or not I want you to take some time this month to genuinely fall in love with yourself. As a strong believer in the principle that to feel loved by others in one love, one must love and accept themselves wholeheartedly How are others love ever going to be enough if you look toward them for constant validation.
From a young age, the fairy tale story of love is sold to us through the typical stories of princes and princesses. Self-love and self-care are phrases that are constantly used to promote wellbeing and holistic wellness but what does it really mean - let's get into it!

Beyond this simple yet broad definition, practising can look different. The ultimate goal, which will often be a constant journey as life throws its different challenges towards you, is to seek peace and happiness within oneself.
The journey to self-love can be beautiful yet uncomfortable as at times it can require one to look at areas of our lives that we often shy away from. Daily actions that one may need to take is acknowledging one fear, facing your insecurities head one, spending time alone, discovering your interests, not letting others opinions rule your life, allowing yourself to make mistakes, acknowledging your imperfections and taking steps to be better.
