Is It Going To Be “New Year, New Me” Again?

December is here and you’ve made it!

I don’t know what year you have encountered – if it’s been filled with many highs, lows or just been even all the way through. If you reached your goals, just managed to get by or had the worst year of your life.

Regardless of any of your circumstances you have made it to the last month of the year, another year of life and that is something to be proud of and worth celebrating.

It’s that time of year of giving, receiving, being grateful and reflecting. As fast as this year has gone by, I’m sure December will race by and it will be 2022. It’s natural to get self-reflective as a new year is upon you and for many, it will be thought ‘New Year, New Me!’

To that, I implore you to think again and reconsider. Why do you need to wait for the new year to start making changes in your life? I know the new year is like the biggest Monday (when you agree to start your new habit or goal)

This is your reminder that the time will never be right, you can start now, tomorrow waits for no one and that your time is now. Use December to prepare for your new season – 2022. Your dream life, goals and passions will not become a reality without your hard work, an action plan and determination.

For 2022 we claim a healthy mind, body and soul.

Here are 4 things I challenge you to do before the new year starts - take December to reflect upon what areas of your life you need and want to focus on. Check out our post on five areas of personal development that help you.

1.

Write a list of what you are grateful for and what you have achieved in 2021. Have an attitude of gratitude. It’s easy to take small things for granted.

2.

Write down the goals that you want to achieve at the end of 2022 with a detailed action plan and milestones that will help you get there. Putting your ideas to paper is an extremely important step as simply writing your goals will increase the likelihood of them becoming a reality.

3.

List 10 ways that you aim to help others in the new year, we have to start caring for others through action. How can you use your talents to help others and create opportunities for them? How can you make someone's day? How can you help make the world a better place?

4.

Create your vision board. Put your ideas to paper/print so that you can look at your future and visualise your new reality. This is a fun way to plan and get excited about your future.

As always may your last month of 2021 be a pleasant one filled with joy, peace, happiness, gratitude, new memories and giving to those who need it!
